Lantern Hill has opportunities for Short & Long Term Volunteers within our daily programs, summer mission trip season, and long term servant positions. Volunteers generally raise money to support their stay at Lantern Hill, work in the programs that fit with their gifts, and dedicate their time to serving those in need. Our volunteers have done everything from helping our organization with administrative service, initiated new programs, served beside our partner organizations and led experiences with our mission trip teams all summer!

If you have a heart for serving, a desire to change the world, and can work hard in all types of situations... then you can apply to join the Lantern Hill team. We encourage all types of people covering a wide variety of skills, talents, and personalities. You must be 18 years old and a graduate of high school. You then must apply and complete the interview process to be considered for this unique servant opportunity. All of our volunteers raise support funds (with alot of help from us and our resources) for their time serving with Lantern Hill (usually about $1000/month). Our volunteers can use a percentage of their raised support as a weekly stipend to use how they desire or use their percentage towards their college education. So yes.. this is a job and yes you can get a stipend. Volunteers are also responsible for getting to and from San Diego, CA.

Lantern Hill can also work with your higher learning institution for you to receive college credits, volunteer hours and we even qualify with most schools as an offical intership.
